HUMOR:
Dragon Illusion
|
I have had one of these folded paper dragons on top of my monitor at work for years. Your brain wants to see an outward-looking face so it tricks your perception, making it appear that the dragon's head is staring at you when you move around. After you see the video you might want to make one.
Samsung figured it would be amusing to build a giant, truck-mounted dragon and drive it around. Good stuff.

HUMOR:
CBS Video Boss Button
|
I was clicking over to CBS's website for The Unit to see what was going on with the strike-paused season. I clicked on the "Watch Full Episodes Now" link to check it out. That's when I noticed their classic "Boss Button" in the lower right corner of the video popup window. It turns the window into a realistic looking fake Outlook New Message screen. That's the best Boss Button I've seen, and it's on a major corporate website no less! Kudos to their web team for making me laugh.
Oh, and here's the info for anyone interested: 11 of 22 episodes have been shot and aired for Season 3 with no word on the future. It's a good show that I never hear anyone talk about.

HUMOR:
The Sneeze
|
I can't recall what link initially sent me to The Sneeze but I ended up reading through this guy's blog archives for over an hour. It's funny stuff. Start with The Best of The Sneeze for a decent take.

Uranium Ore at
Amazon.com
$23
|

What else can you get on Amazon? How about some Uranium Ore? As you might imagine, people got a little creative with their reviews of this fine product. Yes, radioactive products straight to your doorstep.

HUMOR:
South Korean Soccer Fan Human Animations
|
We've all seen fans at a football game hold up colored rectangles to spell out words or make simple pictures. These South Korean Soccer Fans amp this tradition up by several levels, using just the colors of their clothes combined with a TON of synchronized moves. It's so fluid it almost looks fake.

HUMOR:
Tire Ski Jumping
|
So, is summer getting you down? Perhaps you're in Japan. And no one is using a huge ski jump. And you have some tires. You might as well do some Tire Ski Jumping. The last one is the best.

HUMOR:
Dramatic Chipmunk
|
Billed as the "best five second video on the internet," I had my doubts about Dramatic Chipmunk. But even after a few plays, I still chuckled at bit. It's worth the less than a minute you'll spend on it.

HUMOR:
Woman Drinks 12 Diet Cokes a Day
|
This reminds me of an old 48 Hours episode (is that even on TV anymore? I remember when it was actually good) about a woman who sucked down several bottles of Mountain Dew each day. I think this woman's daily 12-pack habit has her beat.
When your doctor tells you that your soda intake is potentially damaging your skeleton, it might be time to cut back a bit.

HUMOR:
Leave it to Beaver Rambling Letter
|
I meant to post this one a few days ago, but if you haven't seen it yet give it a look. It's a scanned letter that Beaver's dad was reading to him and was only on the screen for a second or two. Thanks to modern freeze-framing, you can read the rambling paragraphs of some TV writer just filling up space. It's a 50 year old TV easter egg!

HUMOR:
This Is Why Mims Is Hot
|
I must officially be out of touch, as I am not familiar with the song ("This Is Why I'm Hot") nor the artist (Mims) currently atop the charts. If you don't like sarcastic math diagrams about awful rap lyrics, you might want to skip this one. If that warning intrigues you, go ahead and click.

House Number - Nine (with screws) at
Amazon.com
$254,623
|
Got an extra $254,623 in your couch cushions? Some third party seller over at Amazon has this Nine for that exact fee. Includes a few user reviews of a comedic nature, as well as screws and a Lifetime Finish. A bargain, surely.

HUMOR:
419 Scambaiters
|
If you've used email for more than a few hours in your life, you've surely received your share of requests from foreign nationals that want to give you large sums of money. That's usually classified as a 419 scam. These 419 Scambaiters flip the situation on them, wasting their time in a humorous fashion and hopefully keeping them busy instead of scamming your grandparents. Here is a particularly funny scambaiter case involving a carved wooden head and a Month Python video.
