Five-Day PC Game Sale at
Steam
|
Anyone else awake after that big day of eating? I just tossed my turkey bones into a pot to simmer for the next three hours so let's do some deal hunting.
For starters, PC gamers should check out the Daily PC Game Sale over at Steam. They have some serious discounts up for day one and the timer appears to roll over around 11AM EST each day. I just snagged Farcry 2 w/ DLC for a measly $10. They also have Batman: Arkham Asylum for only $25 and Dragon Age for $38. Serious gamers should check out the two $50 packs from LucasArts and THQ - you get a slew of games in each pacakge.

DEAL:
SteelSeries Solo Mouse Pad at
Amazon.com
$30
|

I've read their are two types of gamers when it come to using the mouse. As a "High Sensitivity" gamer I don't move my arm much when I play. That mostly means that I prefer a slick plastic pad.
After far too much research last summer I ordered a SteelSeries S&S Solo Mouse Pad (Amazon, $30 shipped). By many accounts it is the top selling hard pad in the gaming industry. I can see why. My mouse moves like teflon on teflon, all while still tracking with great precision. If you ever wondered what a difference a mouse pad can make, this one really delivers results. I am now past the one year mark and it looks and feels brand new.

15% Off Subscribe and Save (Diapers, Coffee, Protein Bars, etc) at
Amazon.com
|

Two years ago Amazon added an interesting Subscribe & Save program that gets you 15% off on a variety of items, including diapers, coffee, energy bars, protein powder, grocery, personal care, etc. These are a benefits that jump out at me:- 15% discount
- You choose the frequency (every 1, 2,3 or 6 months)
- They don't charge your card until each shipment
- Free shipping on all items, even if your order is under $25
- Save time and gas money by spending less time at the store
The slick part is that you can cancel at any time right through your account. A box pops up for cancellation right after the order confirmation screen. That means 15% off and free shipping on your first and only order, if you were so inclined. I have placed a few orders this way.
