DEAL:  Lord of the Rings 4-Disc Platinum Edition at Amazon.com   $26
Posted Thursday, December 19 2002 somewhere around 3PM by John
    Talk Back! (0)

Now that the second movie is in theaters this is worth a repeat. Not only do you get a massive, four-disc copy of The Lord of the Rings for only $26 shipped, but you get a free ticket to The Two Towers inside the box. That's like getting ~$7 back.

My friend was telling me about this DVD last night in the car while we drove to the theater to see The Two Towers and it sounds like it's chock full o' extras (30min bonus scenes, documentaries, commentary, etc). You can also get $5 back if you own the original 2-disc version (details in box).

The movie itself? Fantastic. I'm no LOTR fanboy (never read the books), but it was top notch. They even tossed quite a bit of humor into this one to keep things lively! Brilliant effects too, as expected.

CircuitCity.com already has this hot game on sale for only $38. I'd say it had free shipping like other sites are claiming, but it's sold out online. Order for in-store pickup, or just use their Notify Me option to get an email when it's back in stock online. Search for splinter to find it. [Review]

I'm a fan of tossing these cheap-after-rebate UPS's on my expensive electronics (TV, Computer, TiVo, etc). They won't buy you much uptime in long power outage, but they will smooth out the everyday power spikes and keep your stuff from resetting everytime a squirrel chews through that delicious power cable and causes a 2-second power short.

Head over to CircuitCity.com and search for INTERNET350U to find it for $40 - $30 rebate [Exp 12/21] = $10 AR. Direct Shipping is out, but you can order online and just pick it up in your local store.

New coupon, this time for single Espon ink cartridges. Head over to Ink4Art, search for GreatDeal to see your options, then use code Holiday241 [Exp 12/17] at checkout for the B1G1F deal.

Lots of carts are ~$13, so you're looking at an average of only $6.50/cart.
