Lord of the Rings 4-Disc Platinum Edition
at
Amazon.com
$26
Posted Thursday, December 19 2002 somewhere around 3PM by John Talk Back! (0) |
Now that the second movie is in theaters this is worth a repeat. Not only do you get a massive, four-disc copy of The Lord of the Rings for only $26 shipped, but you get a free ticket to The Two Towers inside the box. That's like getting ~$7 back. My friend was telling me about this DVD last night in the car while we drove to the theater to see The Two Towers and it sounds like it's chock full o' extras (30min bonus scenes, documentaries, commentary, etc). You can also get $5 back if you own the original 2-disc version (details in box). The movie itself? Fantastic. I'm no LOTR fanboy (never read the books), but it was top notch. They even tossed quite a bit of humor into this one to keep things lively! Brilliant effects too, as expected. |
